The TEP Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the winner of the Tau Omega Alumni Association 2025 Recipient. Benjamin Evans, University of Rhode Island, '28 has received a $500 Scholarship toward his education. The Award started by Tau Omega Alumni Association this year shows their deep dedication to the Tau Omega Chapter and to our Foundation. As their Alumni continue to provide additional resources through their established Chapter Educational Fund, Yearly Charity Golf Tournament, and other ongoing support to the undergraduate Chapter. The TEP Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce more updates to our Virtual Museum! We have updates to our sections TEP 2020-Current, TEP 1980's, TEP 1970's, and TEP 1960's. That is in addition to our freshly created section for TEP houses, including a bifurcation of TEP Houses (Exterior) and a new section called "TEP Houses Interior." This new compilation will highlight TEP House interiors over different Chapters, Locations, and decades. We strongly suggest submissions for addition to this new housing section.

We have also added our new "TEP Virtual Brick Sponsor Wall" for all Alumnus who have contributed to a Virtual Brick. The TEP Foundation, Inc. gives a shoutout their newest Trustee Adam "AJ" Kerins! President Jason Berler attended Brother Kerins', Phi Psi, '03, Executive Director of the Turtle Back Zoo (501c3) "Brew At The Zoo" hosted in West Orange, New Jersey. This annual 21+ only event with over 2,500 attendees was a fun filled evening of craft beer, animal conversation & education, and fraternalism. Their fundraiser has every brewery and microbrewery from across the state of New Jersey in attendance. Brother Kerins has evidently been hard at work fulfilling the Founding Pillars of TEP through his Friendship, Chivalry, and continued Service. Beyond his bridge building connection with our President and volunteering accolades within our Foundation has established the Phi-Psi Chapter Educational Fund to the benefit of his Chapter. Thank you again to our newest Trustee Adam "AJ" Kerins for graciously exhibiting the Founding Pillars of TEP as an involved and dedicated Alumnus.

The TEP Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce our newest Trustee Jim Harrington, Tau Omega, University of Rhode Island, ('88). Brother Harrington has a long history of involvement and results within TEP dating all the way back to his time as an undergraduate in the late '80s. Jim was initiated into TEP in 1985 who was quickly elected Chancellor that following Fall (1986). During his tenure as Chancellor at the Tau Omega Chapter received a few notable local and national awards including Highest GPA on Campus by URI Greek Life Office, Greek Week Champions URI (80s), and prestigious Charles M. Driesen Chapter Efficiency Award by TEP National. Post graduation he immediately served on the Tau Omega Holding Corp, then as President of the T.O.H.C from 1988-1990. In between his TEP Career and Professional Career, Brother Harrington put his Business Degree to good use in the Insurance Industry. Jim held many positions ranging from Insurance Claims Manager, Claims Supervisor, Senior Consultant, and Chief Financial Officer for regional insurance companies and Not-For-Profits like Cheshire Home, Inc. based around New England. Jim went on to receive his Executive MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute in 2016. Jim currently serves as Clinic Director at Morris Spine & Sport achieving a 20% year-on-year (Y-on-Y) growth through strategic planning, marketing, and execution since 2022. Brother Harrington has also been actively serving as Tau Omega Alumni Association Liaison since that time as well. In addition to serving as the University of Rhode Island Greek Alumni Council simultaneously (2022). He truly is an accomplished and engaging professional with 30+ years of leadership experience both within and outside of TEP. He brings significant experience building deep professional relationships while leveraging a practical, consistent approach to transform operations into high-performing entities…

The Board of Trustees are excited to raise funds toward this new endeavor for the benefit of Undergraduate and Alumni Brothers alike. The TEP Foundation, Inc. will be earmarking all proceeds to a paid Mental Health Awareness Speaker. This new program will be hosted once per year either remotely and/or at a Tau Epsilon Phi Grand Chapter or Tau Epsilon Phi’s Leadership Retreat. As a NYS, NFP, 501(c)3 our Mission Statement is to provide Scholarship, Award, and Education to our valued Undergraduate and Alumni Brothers.

The Board of Directors has already designated a Mental Health professional to assist in this critical educational initiative — Michael Townsend, MA, LCSW, of Gateway Counseling Center, a behavioral health Non Profit in NYC. We further give appreciation to Trustee Fred S. Romero, Epsilon-Theta, ’94, MBA, LCSW for his resourcefulness in connecting our Non-Profit organization with Mr. Townsend. He brings decades of experience in the mental field specializing in psychotic disorders, developmental disabilities youth and issues facing minority communities. This is the first such type of educational program by The TEP Foundation, Inc. in 30+ years...

This is a first in the history of The TEP Foundation, Inc., NYS, 501(c)3. We give special appreciation to Alumnus Gary Lawson, Epsilon-Theta (’73) who is our first Virtual Memorial Brick Sponsor.
