Established Funds:

 

WHY START A NEW FUND?

  1. Grants to members of your chapter or provisional chapter as Need-Based or Academic Based Scholarships.

  2. Grants to members of your chapter or provisional chapter for other Educational Expenses such as Tuition, Study Materials, and/or other expenses pursuant to I.R.S 501(C)(3)*.

  3. Grants to cover portions of the travel and accommodation expenses of members of your chapter attending the National Grand Chapter (up to 50%), Summer Leadership Retreat (up to 100%), and other Educational Seminars/Events within or outside of Tau Epsilon Phi (Up to 100%**)

  4. Grants for educational resources in your house, such as desks, bookcases, books, computers or software, and for the construction, renovation and equipment of educational areas of your chapter or provisional chapter home.

  5. Designated Chapter or Provisional Chapter Awards or Scholarships.

HOW TO START A FUND?

 

To start and maintain a Chapter Educational Fund with Foundation an individual account must have at least $500 in principal balance. Any Alumnus or Alumni Association (either recognized or unrecognized) may establish and/or contribute to a Chapter Educational Fund.

HOW CAN FUNDS BE USED?

 

The funds must be used to the benefit of Tau Epsilon Phi Chapters or Provisional Chapters, including on an individual member basis in the form of I.R.S. 501(C)(3) Compliant Educational Disbursements.

 

WHERE WILL FUNDS BE HELD?

 

Funds will be segregated to an individually managed account along with existing Foundation assets.

HOW WILL FUNDS BE RAISED? 

 

Individual Alumni can establish and contribute to a Chapter Educational Fund -OR- Alumni Associations and/or groups of Alumni can collaborate to establish or add to a dedicated Chapter Educational Fund.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF PROGRAM?

 

This new program allows Tau Epsilon Phi Alumni to make tax- deductible donation(s) through The TEP Foundation, Inc., a publicly registered 501(c)(3) earmarked and distributed directly to your Chapter or Provisional Chapter. In time, Alumni Associations or Alumni may use our “Fundraising Software or Platform” to raise additional funds toward either the establishment or addition of funds to their existing Chapter Educational Fund. This makes a terrific gift to your chapter or provisional chapter!

HOW ARE THE FUNDS DISBURSED?

 

Funds will be disbursed by The TEP Foundation, Inc. directly to the Chapter or Provisional Chapter, including members therein. The types of disbursement or allocation of funds will be determined by Alumni or group of Alumni and approved by The Board of Trustees.

Chapter Educational Funds allow individual alumnus and alumni associations ability to contribute directly to the benefit of Chapter or Provisional Chapter Members. This new program bridges the gap between contributions to The TEP Foundation which benefit Tau Epsilon Phi as a whole, and the establishment of a Chapter Educational Fund which benefits YOUR CHAPTER!
